New homes planned for Espoo’s Niittykumpu

Our new apartment block homes are set to be built in a park-like environment in Niittykumpu, on Vuoritontunkuja.
In the Vuoritonttu residential block in Niittykumpu, over the next few years EKE-Rakennus will be creating five small but perfectly formed apartment block complexes, surrounding a sheltered yard area. A shared carpark for the block will be built at street level, under the yard deck. The parking spaces will be available for purchase as shares, and for an extra fee can be equipped with a charging point for electric cars. The complexes will be located handily within walking and cycling distance of the metro station and various other services of Niittykumpu.
Energy-efficient apartment block homes for a variety of tastes
The homes in this block will span various forms to suit a number of different life situations: a limited number of loft-style homes, as well as luxurious apartments with roof terraces on the top floors of the complexes. The project will also offer functional layout solutions to suit those looking for everything from smaller homes to more spacious family apartments.
The intention is for the apartments to be heated primarily by water-circulating underfloor heating connected to a geothermal system, as well as having a cooling system powered by a geothermal pump. Technical design of the site is underway, so all of the aforementioned details are still subject to changes.
Uusikumpu in Niittykumpu
Vuoritontunkuja is being built in the area known as Uusikumpu in Niittykumpu. The residential block to be built along Vuoritontunkuja will be located next to the former Outokumpu headquarters. Nowadays, the Outokumpu headquarters offer renewed facilities for Uusikumpu Primary School. Uusikumpu is surrounded on the south by recently completed apartment blocks, and on the north and west by a pleasant area of single-dwelling houses with a verdant fitness path network and park area. In the winter, the green park area next to Kotitontuntie becomes a popular sport for hobby skiers. On the east side is the Gräsänoja brook, which runs from next to Olari church to Haukilahti marina.

From Niittykumpu you can handily travel by bus or metro, and by car you can reach the main ring roads and the Länsiväylä motorway in just a few minutes. You can also easily reach Tapiola or Matinkylä and their services by bike. For those who enjoy keeping fit outdoors, Niittykumpu offers fantastic routes in Espoo Central Park and along the sea on Espoo’s Waterfront Walkway. The local area is also home to Tapiola Sports Park and plenty of indoor activity services. Shopping Centre Niitty’s services are within walking distance of the apartments set to be built on Vuoritontunkuja.
